A drive through Kanha is always a wonderful experience, the forest is absolutely stunning and boasts a diverse species of Birds and Mammals. Tigers, Leopards, Sloth Bears, Dholes and Golden Jackals are the species that we may cross paths with apart from large herds of Chital (Spotted Deer), Sambar Deer and Wild Boar.

Kanha is the only place in the world where one can find Swamp Deer known locally as Barasingha living on hard ground.

Itinerary

Day 1

  • Arrive at Jabalpur airport, ground transfer to Bandhavgarh National Park (3-4 hours).
  • Check into the resort, lunch and snacks will be available depending on your time of arrival.
  • Have a leisurely evening with a brief from your mentor about the upcoming safaris.
  • Dinner at the resort.
  • Head to bed as we have an early start the next day!

Day 2 / Day 3 / Day 4

  • Morning game drive.
  • Breakfast will be served inside the park.
  • Exit the park after our safari and make our way to the resort.
  • Relax and freshen up for a while.
  • Reconvene for lunch.
  • Post lunch, get ready for our Afternoon game drive.
  • Exit the park after our safari and make our way to the resort.
  • Tea, Coffee and snacks will be served on our arrival.
  • Swap some jungle stories and reminisce about the experiences of the day while reviewing photos along with some photo editing tutorials from your mentor.
  • Make our way to dinner.
  • Head to bed as we have an early start the next day!

Day 5

  • Morning game drive.
  • Breakfast will be served inside the park.
  • Exit the park after our safari and make our way to the resort.
  • Say our goodbyes until we meet again!
  • Checkout by 11 am.
  • Transfer to Jabalpur airport.

No, tripods are generally not allowed during game drives as they can obstruct the view for other participants. Monopods or bean bags are recommended for stability.

The nearest airports are in Jabalpur and Nagpur. For those traveling by train, the closest railway stations are Gondia (145 KMS) and Jabalpur (160 KMS). We can assist with local transfers to Kanha by road at additional costs.
