What You Could Expect

The forest is a combination of Moist and Dry Deciduous vegetation with some lovely meadows and grasslands, Sal trees and Bamboo thickets.

Over the last couple of years a fair few Tigresses have given birth to cubs, most of which are still under their mother’s care. It's quite often that one has the chance to see multiple Tigers in the same area, which is quite rare as Tigers are mainly solitary animals.

A tiger safari with Lala is an awesome experience and very highly recommended! Arrangements were outstanding in every respect: excellent accommodation, first class hospitality, expert drivers and guides, and above all the enormously interesting and informative interactions with Lala, whose passion for tigers and wildlife in general is really infectious. Thank you for making my first time at Bandipur a special one! When I first decided to go on a safari, I was still quite sceptical about what the experience would be like. But a few days with Lala in the magical forests of Bandipur changed my perspective! During my time there, Lala made sure that we were early enough to catch the first jeep to enter the forest and that I got the best seat. One of my favourite moments on the safari was seeing a pack of dholes hunt. It was so gripping to observe the pups catch up with the adults. Lala takes you through the forest with a tenderness that allows you to understand the histories of the animals that you may chance upon. His impeccable ears lead the safari to track tigers and leopards at ease! Lala has a special bond with the forest guides too! During my safari, Lala and Pradeep worked together determined to show me the best parts of the forest. We came across a Leopard and a Peacock together, which was one of a kind experience for me. We even chanced upon a leopard walking by on a magnificent rock. Witnessing an elephant up close was a humbling experience. These were some of the special memories of the forest for me with Lala. Safari with Lala rekindled my yearning to be close to nature and has left me with an itch to go back.

His beautiful photographs have become permanent reminders of this feeling and I cherish them wholeheartedly! Thank you for organising such a wonderful itinerary and introducing me to everyone at Bandipur who welcomed me like family! Safari with Lala was outstanding. We got excellent advice on where to visit and what time of year, and after those decisions were made, Lala handled everything! It was such a great birthday trip that was excellently organized, with our incredibly knowledgeable, and fantastic guide, Lala (our most fav person to check out the forest with). Our experience with Safari by Lala was amazing. My parents and boyfriend (now husband) and I went on a safari to Kabini. Including Lala and the driver we were six and had the whole car to ourselves (something I would recommend).

Our first safari of the trip, we were out for a long time, but came up cold. Even though we followed tips from other cars, we didn’t see anything. Time was running out, but determined to show us something, Lala quieted us down so he could listen to the sounds of the jungle. Then suddenly he heard something (not that any of us did) and we were off.

Ten minutes of driving towards the calls, Lala tells the driver to stop and we wait. After a minute we see a herd of deer run as fast as they can, then silence. Seconds later, out of the thick trees we see a leopard lumbering by. We watched till the leopard was out of sight and started to drive back to the lodge excitedly, happy for the sighting.

As we drove back, we suddenly saw, in the middle of the road, closer than we could have ever hoped for, a beautiful tigress. We were the only car there and took full advantage of the sighting of a lifetime. That was our first safari there and we had a sighting every single time we went out. So it’s not just skill that Lala brings to his safaris but also so much luck. I doubt anyone could want more.

From the friendly guides and drivers, the beautiful sightings of wildlife in the most peaceful setting, to the homely welcome i received from the staff where we were staying, Lala made sure every aspect of our trip was the best it could be!

I crossed over from Kerala to Karnataka after a month long solo trip. Destination - safari with La La in Bandipur! I was lucky to get one of the two spots that had opened up quite serendipitously. Securely booked, I was looking forward to good company and some juicy sightings. Boy did I get both. Lala’s passion was infectious and the energy in the jeep was great with my two roommates from

Belgium both also donning Lala merch. When you have like-minded people with you on safari you just feed off each other’s excitement. The thrills were high, the sightings beyond expectation. We got into a drill with 4 safaris over 3 days and I could’ve done one more if time permitted. It’s just refreshing to ditch the drinking weekends for wilder ones. Lala Palooza over Lolapalozza, any day!
